Palak International Limited started in 1990 as a hardware store located in Ngara, Nairobi. At the time its customer base was mainly in Nairobi and its environs.
As the company grew, it widened its market base to other parts of Kenya, with more emphasis in Western, Nyanza and Rift Valley Region. At this time it also introduced direct delivery of all products to the customers doorstep/ shops. This was well received and was widely accepted by most customers, who preferred to avoid the transportation headache, and also those who could not afford the huge transportation costs to their premises.
As the company grew, new ventures were acquired to broaden the business base.
Production of Battery acid, Battery water,Washing up Liquid, Car cleaner and Multi Purpose Soap were introduced. Palak Battery Acid and Battery water were well received in the market and also in the neighboring countries such as Uganda And Rwanda.
On the 17th October 2012, Palak International acquired a steel mill in Kikuyu where we now produce cold-worked high yield steel bars for concrete reinforcement. We have since specialized in the production of steel bars of the range:

We have complied with the health and safety standards as stipulated by the National Environment Management Authority, Kikuyu County Health Inspectorate, Ministry of Labor, Directorate of Occupational Safety and all other relevant oversight authorities.
Our products meet and surpass the Kenya Bureau of Standards set specifications.
